Nothing Ever Happened...

I just finished reading Volume 1 of Nothing Ever Happened, a 3 Volume series on Sri Poonja Maharaj, by Sri David Godman. What a journey it has been!!! Papaji (as Sri Poonja Maharaj is known to his devotees) speaks about his life, how he met his master Sri Ramana Maharishi, how he got to meet many of his devotees and the experience of his devotees under Papaji's influence. it was so gripping that one of the places i read the book was the railway station while i was waiting to receive my cousin and her family!!! i got a full one hour there!!! Papaji was the love in the hearts of all people he met. i was surprised to read that he spent some of his time in Chikkamagalur, one the places that i've been visiting since my childhood.

Here is a link where Sri David Godman talks about how this book was made: http://www.davidgodman.org/interviews/rs1.shtml

My profuse thanks to Bhatta for lending me the beautifully printed book. i put a cover for it so that the book remains as new as possible. Bhatta says that he will remove that, but says i can use it for Volume 2!!! But, i must say that one reading of the book is just the beginning. And of course, many tons of thanks to Sri David Godman!!!

Another thing that i did was to re-read the chapter on Papaji's meeting with Sri Ramana while i was sitting in the beautifully constructed Sri Ramana Seva Trust. i sat in front of the beautiful & majestic marble idol of Sri Ramana. This place is on the Bangalore-Hosur highway after Attibele going towards Hosur. What a beautiful place that is. it is open from morning 7 to evening 7 all 7 days a week!!!

i just wonder, how would it be to meet a living master?
Jai Poonjaji Maharaj, Jai Sadguru Ramana.

Hello Raghav,

I a Vivek mailing from Chennai.I was interested in going through your blog as there was a post on Papaji.
"Nothing ever happened" is indeed a lovely trilogy. I have had the opportunity to read all of David Godman's books, and also met David Godman a few times on my visits to Tiruvannamalai.

In case you want to have the darshan of a Jnani, you may consider seeing Lakshamanaswamy, who had realised the Self in the presence of Bhagavan. Lakshmanaswamy lives in Tiruvannamalai with his adopted daughter, Mathru Sarada, who is also a Jnani.

I had the darshan of Lakshmanaswamy on Dec 25th, 2005 and it was a great experience sitting in the presence of a Jnani. Lakshmanswamy doesn't give darshan except on December 25th, Karthigai Deepam, and Tamil New Year's day. So in case you want to have his darshan, please try and visit Tiruvannamalai on the above days.

Lakshmanaswamy's house is close to Ramanashram and is actually very near to the Yogi Ramsuratkumar's ashram.

In case you think you might need more information, please mail me at shravanam.blog@gmail.com

Hello Vivek!
Glad that you left a very wonderful comment!!! I would really like to be in the physical presence of Sri Lakshmana Swamy and Mathru Sri Saradamma. I had decided to go to Sri Lakshmana Swamy's ashram in Gudur, but that did not happen. Thank you for telling me about the days Sri Lakshmana Swamy gives darshans. With his grace, he'll pull me to him soon.
I've enjoyed reading Nothing Ever Happened, Volume 3 is still pending. I have read No Mind - I am the Self too. I have Living by the words of Bhagavan to read. I have referred to Be as you Are, but haven't done a complete reading.
One thing is sure, Sri David Godman is a person who has been blessed by all gurus. His books are a great blessing to us all.
Jai Sadguru Ramana.
